Can I bring caravans, trailers, RV’s and campervans to The Riverside Farm Escape?

Yes, trailers, RV’s, caravans and motor homes are welcome. Please mention in your booking notes so we can accommodate you in the designated areas. 

 Are my pets welcome on the property?

Yes! We love the idea of including our much loved furry friends on holidays. Well socialised dogs are welcome on leash during your stay. We request dogs to be supervised and on leash for their own safety and of others around you. No chasing of birds, wildlife or farm animals and no interfering with other guests. Please make sure all pets are up-to-date with tick prevention prior to travelling. Owners are Liable for any damage or issues that may arise from their pets.

Do you supply each campsite with fire pits?

All of our campsites are supplied with their own rustic fire pit (old truck rims). Fires are to be lit in the fire pits provided only. Please do not leave fires unattended at any time. Collecting firewood from fallen branches is permitted within the campgrounds. Do not cut down living trees or vegetation for firewood or other purposes. Avoid collecting hollow habitat timber. Chainsaws and axes not permitted. Clean firewood available for purchase from host.

Are the campgrounds family friendly?

The Riverside Farm Escape has a variety of camp sites that are all family friendly. With onsite management at all times. There is a noise curfew of 10pm. Children to be supervised at all times as access to water is all around.

Can we have fires and camp BBQs throughout the summer months?

Yes, camp fires and BBQs are welcome. However, please be mindful of NSW fire ban guidelines. Do not leave fires unattended or burning overnight. Camp fires prohibited on TOTAL fire ban days. Please be considerate of the health and wellbeing of other guests around you.


Do you have toilet facilities on site?

We encourage all campers to bring their own toilet facilities where possible. If guests require bathroom access we have a clean, modern facility on site that is accessible for a fee. Please note cold water showers only. Toilet/shower is cleaned at least twice daily. Please let host know asap if there is a problem.

Do you have a dump point on site?

We do not have a dump point on site but there are two local dump points nearby. Nabiac 7km north and Coolongolook 7 kms south. Please do not use toilet facility as a dump point under any circumstances.

Can I swim at The Riverside Farm Escape?

Yes, you can swim at The Riverside Farm Escape. The river is brackish and tidal with fresh clean water constantly moving through. Expect some mud around the edges in places and foot protection is recommended as there maybe sticks, tree roots and stones in the shallows. Great river for Kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing.

Our highlight is the beautiful dam adorned with flowering lilies and a pontoon to access the water. Perfect for a refreshing swim or a leisurely kayak ride, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and outdoor adventure.

Can I launch my boat on site?

Small inflatable boats can be launched from the riverfront during high tide after speaking with host. Tinnys require pre approval on booking. Local boat ramps at Nabiac and Coolongolook are within 6kms away allow you to explore the Wallis lakes with ease. It is the users responsibility to ensure safety.

Do we hire out equipment?

We have a limited supply of free kayaks for guests use. There is no booking system so please share them around. We encourage you to bring floatation devices, lilos to use in the water. You are welcome to bring your own fishing gear, Sups and kayaks.

Can i fish in the River?

Fishing is allowed and best from a Kayak or inflatable boat as the riverbank can have snags. The river is well stocked with flathead, jewfish and bream and also mud crabs if you’re lucky.

Do you have a camp kitchen?

Currently we do not offer a camp kitchen. Please bring all cooking equipment with you.

Can i arrive without a booking?

Guests must book before entering the property, either online or by phone. 

Do you have rubbish bins on site?

We have a leave NO trace policy regarding rubbish waste and require all Guests to take rubbish with them on departure. Please do not use private bins on Riverside Road when exiting.

Are generators permitted?

The use of petrol and diesel generators is discouraged with in the campgrounds. Battery and solar power stations are welcome.
